About The Artist

"All my life I have felt an urge to paint, draw and sculpt. Creativity is an activity tha nourishes both body and soul.

The desire to commit on canvas my vision of the world combined with my perfectionist nature results in a liberating experience that has become vital to me."

Mona

Her history

American journalist Susana Ivase-Hanson interviewed Mona before her exhibition in Cotignac

"Mona was born to be an artist.

Surrounded by horses, cows, forests, meadows, huts, pebbles and flowers - she lives in a world of her own. In her childhood she was already "unconventional" and took an early liking to the pencil, brush and clay. She told everyone "I'm not working, I am playing." Whilst exposing her work she was always curious to see what others thought about it. Her style is varied and exhibits flexibility and is also full of imagination and sensitivity to beauty in life.

Harmony, balance, character and sweetness are her key words in description. Her work owes admiration to the Impressionist, making her art rich in technical, varied brush strokes and the use of warm colours. One discovers oil painting that demonstrates a profound love of Provence: sheep, shepherds, trees and blue skies."

"Painting a self-portrait is a great challenge: like a reflection of my character, thinking and feeling stand out in an expressive way."
